TARC Kicks-Off 45 Years of Service with 45 Days of Celebration

Timeline Celebrating 45 Years of Service!

Submit a TARC Memory to the Time Capsule

Louisville, KY (August 1, 2019) – Early this morning at 4 AM, TARC Executive Director, Ferdinand L. Risco Jr., and Assistant Executive Director, Randy Frantz cheered on TARC Coach Operators as they pulled out for their first shift of the day.

TARC celebrates its 45th Year of Service this year, and a kick-off event beginning a 45 day countdown—officially starting Monday, leading up to the official 45th Anniversary of their birth in 1974 was held to honor TARC Coach Operators.

“We’re responsible for moving the city. So much of this region’s economic success stems from our ability to do just that,” said Ferdinand L. Risco Jr., TARC Executive Director. “We wanted to kick off our 45th Anniversary Celebration with the men and women who wear a smile and offer that little bit of extra service that makes a difference to our customers each day.”

In the final week an official proclamation from Mayor Fischer honoring TARC’s many years of service will be given, and a time capsule will be buried for 100 years.

TARC will officially celebrate their 45th year of service on September 18th at Union Station.

The public is encouraged to submit their TARC Memories to be included in the time capsule, and to stay up to date on details of the 45 Days of contests and events.
