TARC Accessibility Advisory Council
The TARC Accessibility Advisory Council (TAAC) is an independent, self-governing body that advises TARC on public transportation accessibility issues regarding TARC fixed route and TARC3 paratransit service. The Council has served in an advisory capacity and as an information resource regarding accessible public transportation needs to TARC for over 25 years.
The TARC Accessibility Advisory Council’s mission is to review and advise TARC on all issues, plans and programs for public transportation services in regards to the accessibility needs of our community and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
The TARC Accessibility Advisory Council (TAAC) formerly known as TARC Elderly & Disabled Advisory Council is comprised of individuals representing citizens with disabilities in the Metro Louisville area who have accessibility needs.
TARC Accessibility Advisory Council members are selected to convey the needs of individuals with disabilities. Membership includes individuals with disabilities and representatives from local and government agencies who represent them.

Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 1:30 pm - 3 pm in the TARC Boardroom, 1000 West Broadway; Louisville, KY 40203. During the last 15 minutes of the meeting, the Council welcomes feedback from the disabled community which uses either or both the Fixed Route and TARC3 services and invites your participation. Meeting dates are subject to change and meetings may be canceled because of severe weather. Please check this website or call the TARC Paratransit Office 502.213.3217 for meeting confirmation.

The TARC Accessibility Advisory Council has several committees which are also open to the public including Quality Control, Communications and Eligibility.
Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodations, including the provision of information in an alternative format, will be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.
