TARC to host Employment Open House

Anyone interested in exploring a career at TARC including as a bus driver or mechanic is invited to attend a public open house at Union Station from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tues., Apr. 18. Union Station, TARC’s historic headquarters, is at 1000 W. Broadway on TARC Route #23.
“TARC offers competitive pay and great benefits,” said Barry Barker, executive director. “The open house will be a fun and relaxed atmosphere showcasing TARC job opportunities and featuring team members who can share their experiences.”
TARC seeks full-time coach operators and maintenance staff in a variety of positions. Visitors at the open house can learn about the application process, training program, benefit plan and talk to bus drivers, maintenance staff and other TARC employees. Job applications can be obtained and submitted at the open house.
TARC provides paid training on the road and in the classroom for beginning coach operators. The minimum age requirement is 21. The Maintenance Department includes technical positions such as diesel mechanics as well as jobs as bus washers, fuel station attendants, laborers who maintain facilities, and body shop repair workers.
