Riders on fixed route buses can receive up-to-date information by calling our customer service line at (502) 585-1234, subscribing to text or email notifications, or following TARC on Facebook or Twitter.

For passengers who use TARC3 paratransit service, please book extra travel time, especially if you have an appointment. Call your destination to verify they are open and appointments are on time. Please cancel unwanted trips as soon as you decide not to travel. That helps TARC3 schedule vehicles effectively.

During inclement weather, TARC works to keep as much service on the road as possible while also ensuring the safety of our passengers and employees on the roads. We implement winter weather detours when snow and ice can cause travel hazards. The decision to activate winter weather detours or reduce service could be made at any time, and that decision would be made in conjunction with Louisville Metro Emergency Services.

When temperatures drop to 35 degrees or lower in the winter (with or without wind chill), and the Louisville Coalition for the Homeless and the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana activate Operation White Flag, TARC waves fare for those individuals who need transportation to one of the participating shelters. The passenger should alert the driver when boarding and can ride to the stop nearest a participating shelter.
