TARC and PARC partner once again, offer a better option to get to this year’s St. James Court Art Show

October 3, 2023

Skip the traffic and parking stress and take transit to the St. James Court Art Show this year!

TARC will be joining PARC (Parking Authority of River City) this year to offer a great package for art lovers headed to the St. James Court Art Show from October 6 to October 8. PARC it then TARC it!

Patrons can park their cars at PARC’s Brown Hotel Parking Garage (658 S. Third Street) for $12, which includes a round-trip ticket to the art show via TARC. With bus frequency approximately every 15 minutes patrons will get to and from the show worry-free. PARC operations staff will be on hand at the garage to distribute tickets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

“TARC is happy to provide regular, frequent service to and from the St. James Court Art Show from downtown this year,” said TARC Executive Director Carrie Butler. “Enjoy all the art and experiences of the day without the headache of searching for parking.”

From the PARC garage, patrons will cross Broadway and take the #4 Fourth Street bus stop at 4th and Broadway; then exit the bus at S. First and W. Magnolia, or S. First and W. Hill—both just two blocks from the event.

For the return trip from the art show, patrons can board the #4 Fourth Street bus stop at S. Second and W. Magnolia, or S. Second and W. Hill.

“PARC is happy to once again partner with TARC to ensure that visitors to the St. James Court Art Show can get quickly and easily from their car to the show by offering a park-and-ride option,” said PARC Executive Director Michael Tudor. “So, skip the traffic, and enjoy a short trip to and from the art show this weekend with PARC and TARC.”

Depending on traffic, the ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes each way. TARC buses will continue regular service after the art show as well.

TARC personnel will be on hand to answer questions and direct riders at the downtown stops in the morning and early afternoon, and then at the art fair pick up points later that afternoon.
